Golden color; huge thick head. Aroma of malt, with some coriander, and light fruity touch. The flavor is quite ordinary, with a light malt taste and some coriander. Not bitter enough. Easy Ale.

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 diabel (1506) - Aarschot, BELGIUM - APR 9, 2007
Bottle Yellow to amber, clear body. Rocky, off-white head. Fruity (oranges) aroma but not intense, some honey too. Lightly bitter, somewhat alcoholic flavour. Very plain flavour and a little bit astringent. Not very interesting.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 MiP (11258) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAR 30, 2007
Bottle, 7%. Fruity, vinous raisin aroma. Clear dark copper/red colour. Small head. The flavour is somehow roasted, a bit as if the grain has been completely drained of every last drop of starch. Slightly sweet and quite vinous. Ending with a sweet fruitiness.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 MartinT (6150) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 5, 2007
My Bottom Line:
Sweet peach juice and yeasty flaccidity cannot coalesce, as coriander spiciness attempts to freshen the experience. A weak Belgian Ale at this point in its evolution.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam settles atop the chunk-full pale orange.
-A vinegary nudge bothers the sugary fruitiness.
-Alcohol even appears in the flavor profile, which isn’t necessary at this gravity.
-The sweet fruitiness more and more resembles that of the syrup found at the bottom of canned peaches.
-Although this Belgian Ale is a month past its life expectancy, I would be rather surprised that it was considerably better a month or three ago.
Bottle; best before December ’06.

Slightly amber hue, with a big rocky beige head, with some floaties of lees swirling around, yeasty, toasted malt, with a fruity note of ripe apples, hints of spicy nutmeg, coriander, brown sugar, faint hop in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp yeasty toasted malt and fruity character of ripe apples, with a subtle nutmeg spiciness, floral hops, toffeeish note, leading towards a winey fruity finish.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Bart (2332) - Brussels, BELGIUM - DEC 17, 2006
Bottle, best before 2005. Hazy dark amber coloured with an average white head and some light carbonation. Sweet yeasty aroma with a fruity touch (citrus, apple). Full body. Finish is fruity, light bitter yeasty. Goop preserved, nice beer.
