Apr 20, 2005 Mdeira and oloroso notes are in early evidence. Nice caramel and toffee notes on the palate with subdued dark fruits in evidence. Nutty and sweet with a very nice dessrt wine finish.

Dec 15, 2003 Vintage 2001. Spicy, prume, fruity, rye aroma. Debris floating around, brown color, beige rocky head, good lace. Sweet, spicy, dark fruits, prume, very full.
bierkoning (4603), La Tropica, Netherlands
Dec 15, 2003 Dutch Ratebeer Meeting. Dark brown color, cloudy with a firm white head. Gusher. Malty aroma with red berries. Porto flavor. Sweet and sugary. Malty and vinous. Warming alcoholic effect. Much better as the Loterbol bruin, but certainly not my favorite.
