Vintage 2001. Spicy, prume, fruity, rye aroma. Debris floating around, brown color, beige rocky head, good lace. Sweet, spicy, dark fruits, prume, very full.

Mdeira and oloroso notes are in early evidence. Nice caramel and toffee notes on the palate with subdued dark fruits in evidence. Nutty and sweet with a very nice dessrt wine finish.

Dutch Ratebeer Meeting. Dark brown color, cloudy with a firm white head. Gusher. Malty aroma with red berries. Porto flavor. Sweet and sugary. Malty and vinous. Warming alcoholic effect. Much better as the Loterbol bruin, but certainly not my favorite.

Dutch ratebeer meeting. Dark brown coloured, large white head, yeast particles. Aroma of roasted malts, fruity, port-like. Sweet and malty taste, port-like. Belly warming palate.

(Dutch ratebeer meeting) Bottle #558. Sweet, spicy, fruity, malty and rye aroma. Cloudy, brown coloured. Lasting thin white head. Porty, sweet-malty and fruity taste. Smooth palate. Another great Duysters brew!

Bottled, 2000 vintage. Lively murky dark nut brown. Lightly acidic toffee nose. Sweet, clean and rounded, surprisingly light bodied. Warming velvetty honeyish finish.
