3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 skortila (4160) - Baarn, - FEB 23, 2003
UPDATED: SEP 22, 2004 Bit malty, sweet aroma, not very strong. There is something in the aroma which i couldn't determine. Appearance is good, very good. Cloudy, dark brown colour, thick creamy head, remains till the last drop. Taste is sweet, malty and ery earthy, getting better with every sip (and warming of the glass) Palate is a bit less I think, there is some alcohol present, the palate is moderate earthy and more bitter/sour. Overall a stunning beer which is one of my favorites from now.
Rated before 4.6 I had this one again and I must say I still think this is a very decent beer. However not a 4.6.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 hopscotch (7535) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 10, 2011
Bottle (2007)... Hazy brown ale with a mid-sized, creamy, mushroom-colored head. Decent retention. The rich aroma is of rich caramel and honey with woody brown sugar. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and lazy carbonation. The flavor offers caramel and candied date sweetness with plenty of bitterness for adequate balance. Finishes raisiny and caramely with a bit of dried plum. Bottle courtesy of biggsbowler!

Bottle @ home. For the life of me, I can’t remember where the hell I got this. Reddish brown appearance with a very foamy, tan head. Fairly sweet, caramelized sugary, plum, raisin, red fruity aroma with moderate fruity esters. Dark plum, grape, fig, fruity, brown sugar, caramel, candy sugar flavor. Pretty sweet finish.
3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Chudwick (562) - Taylor Mill (KY), FRANCE - NOV 23, 2011
bottle in a pint glass - pours dark amber with beige head, providing lacing. Nose is yeast and prune-y fruit. Aroma is chocolate, nuts, light floral hops, alcohol, and old-time-y fruit. Taste is sweet at first and ends on a sweet note along with bitterness. Finish is suddenly dry and body is full. For 8% ABV, it seems stronger. Beer starts off promising, but partially falls apart due to the strong alcohol presence. Would not want to drink two back to back.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jb43 (1648) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - SEP 9, 2011
(bottle 10/26/10). Dark brown color. Large tan head. Moderate caramel aroma, with light fruit/apple and light sourness. Moderate bready malt and caramel flavor, with light sour and light toast/malt. Long duration. Light lasting sour and toast/malt finish. Slick/fizzy texture. Moderat to high carbonation. Good lacing.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 suprchunk (1059) - Heinsberg, GERMANY - SEP 3, 2011
Very dark toffee colored pour. Huge off-white head that is slow to die. Plenty of lacing left in its wake. A fruity grainy aroma. Like fruity pebbles. Very malty flavor. A slight fruitiness in there along with some yeast flavors. Slight alcohol heat, slight. A nice viscous mouthfeel. Sweet aftertaste with some alcohol mixed in to thin it out a bit. Nice beer. Much better than anticipated.
