UPDATED: OCT 15, 2013 75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBESG 2013. 2010 Vintage. Pours dark raspberry red with a pinkish head. Nose is very full of fruits, more cherry than kriek, light raspberry, almost cloying, very jam-like. Taste is blend of cherries & kriek, less tang than I am used of the kiek (the fruit), light hint of iron (maybe the age), touch thin but very easy to drink, oodles of fruit, somewhat fruit sweety with a jam impression, kriek pits in there, light berries in s pices in the finish. Fine carb. very easy to drink. Would have been superb with some sourness but as this stands this is pretty much what a fruit beer should be, fruits & not chemical nonsense. Great stuff. ///// Shared another 75 cl. bottle @ RBBSG II, total gusher & not bad but not as good as the firt time around, bit too metallic & thin, same vintage, keeping previous score for now

Bottle @ RBESG’13 Grand Tasting @ De Molen: Served in a Molen taster: Thanks for sharing 77ships: Some creamy white bubbles on top of a murky pink red colored beer. Aroma is vinous, lots of red of fruit, cherry, cranberry, raspberry, wood, yeast. Flavours of red fruit, cranberry, cherry, raspberry, yeast, cheese, some grains, lovely sour. Aftertaste is a mix of cheese, red fruit, sour and grains. Low carbo, smooth creamy mouthfeel, medium to fuller body and a balanced creamy texture. Bery nice approacj o a fruit beer. Res fruit, sour and creamy. Yummi.

(Cold) hazy, dark red beer with medium, pink-coloured headd. Fresh cherry juice nose, some faraway wood (served terribly cold), and more than in the taste, alcohol. Sharpish cherry flavour, bit of cinnamon retronasal. Virtually no sweetness, sharp but not agressive acids Apart from the obvious cherry flavours, I detect some flavour as from red beets, strangely. Rather light body, acids helping; lipsmacking tartnes; Good kriek, not overly assertive, but very satisfying. Like it.

75 cL bottle, thanks to Grovlam. Pours hazy red with a lacing white head. Acidic and fruity aroma, quite special fruit note I cannot pinpoint. Sweet and acidic with a light fruity flavour. Mild yeast note underneath. Smooth. Citric flavour into the finish. Mild rising fruity note.
