37.5cl bottle. 2007 vintage. They say on the lable that up to 5 years from bottling this should be fine. Right in time. Pours a slightly hazy yellow straw color with a minimal white head. Small bubbles, foam disappears quickly. Aroma is straight lambic/gueuze: lots of funk and barnyard, some tartness. No presence of the triple so far. Taste is again more on the lambic side: sweet/tart with horseblankety and musty notes. Here a hot sensation remains after the sip, testifying an ABV otherwise imperceptible. Medium body and little sparkling carbonation. Overall, this seems a boozier version of a gueuze. It doesn’t look like the triple-like base beer has added any complexity, it just added a final headache. Aroma and taste are really good, but if I have to choose between this and a gueuze than this has no pros to it, sorry.

2007 Vintage @ home – left-over from RBWG 2012 – thx to Antoine & Nicholas a LOT for this – very soft pop when uncorking – no head on this whatsoever no matter how I try, almost white wine golden/orange – smell is musty & funky lambic/tart lemon – slightly stale – odd this taste more like the mixed this with doesjel than 3 yr old lambic to me, musty grains, fermenting pale malt, tart, bitter mouldy lemon afterwards, slight acidity, fermenting dough, bathroom mould, bitter pepper, odd malty bitterness rules the finish, rotting horseblanket, wood, hint sugar underneath, medium calvados/booze finish, taste like it is going flat like a beer that stood open for far too long, must have used real lambic (flat so), doesn’t seem like the base beer was any good nor like the lambic used was top notch, glad to have tried this but it is nowhere near what I expected from it, kind of a train wreck honestly even if I don’t entirely object to it

375mL cork and cage bottled from jbrus while I was on my Amsterdam trip and split with two others back home. Thanks a lot John, I was wanting to try this for a very long time. I fought temptation to buy this on ebay or trade some heavy stuff for it. This label states 10.5%. The cork pops with almost not other action. Pours with a thick golden color. As it pours it thickens with sediment. Aroma is lambic that is beautifully balanced with a golden Belgian with some age but no cardboard. The lambic is well wrangled in to allow the Belgian to shine as well. Tart sourness and acidity are well balanced by some Belgian candy. In the flavor more Belgian shines through over the lambic. Sweetness with some funk all around. Has a thick full mouthfeel.

(Bottle) Pours hazy golden with almost no head. The aroma holds wood, crackers, mild woodsy citrus, soft phenols, floral, dandelion, some sweat, almond, marzipan, butter, malt, some barnyard/horse blanket, fruits, bread, dough and light alcohol. Notable phenols and mild esters. The flavor is light sweet, light bitter and light to medium acidic. Brett, citrus, light spicy, light fruity, bit floral and maybe some almonds. The mouthfeel is light tart and round with light carbonation. Citric, light milky and bretty finish. Medium bodied.

Bottle from EtreGourmet webshop. Pours a cloudy honey-hued orange with virtually no head. Nose is sweet molasses and honey mixed with tart lambic tones: unripe red berries, lemon and hints of barnyard funk. Very peculiar. Taste is similarly original: thick, sweet honey-like malt tones with hints of toffee and hay mix with tart, near-astringent lemony brett funk notes and hints of grass and citric peel. Never had anything like this before, but I sure tastes like promised: I’d say it’s a mix between a young version of Stille Nacht and a mild lambic such as Mikkeller’s Spontanale. Low on carbonation, the brew comes across as near-flat, which doesn’t really suit it in my opinion. No winner in my book, but a pretty nice beer and definitely a very interesting experiment with two famous Belgian beer styles.

37 cl bottle shared by beastiefan2k. The pour is a lightly hazed yellow golden, with a small white head. The aroma is the signature nose of 3 Fonteinen Lambic right off, funky, lemon citrus, grass, some wild yeast and lightly plastic notes around the edges. The taste is leathery, funky, mildly sweet lemon citrus, then a lot of chalky earthiness. As the beer warms, a pleasant wood character emerges in the taste. The palate is light to medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, and a clean funky finish. I mostly sensed the Lambic character in this, which was OK by me. Nice one, thanks for sharing Eugene.

Bottle 37,7 cl from erzbierschof.ch. Muddy orange beer, rather flat, practically without foam, just a light nitrogeous effect pouring. Sour nose of Lambic, lactic bottom, yeast, oak. The taste is acid, very fruity, apple, melon, young Calvados. Lambic nore built, body and bitter of Tripel. The 10,5% ABV undetected. Notes of white wine, cottage cheese, lactic acid, rancid and oak.

Bottle shared at a recent BA/RB tasting (2007 vintage)... Poured pale, golden yellow with a white head. Nice yeast earthiness but hardly any funk that I expected. Some must and attic tones, wood, and a peppery spice quality. Some drying yeast
