375 ml corked green bottle, vintage 2007, shared with my son Steinar, at Amundsen, Oslo. ABV was 10.5%. First glass poured clear orange, second glass very cloudy with yeast. No carbonation. Intense aroma of farmhouse, horse stable and white wine vinegar. Fairly bitter and dry flavour for a lambic, sour but not extreme.

Lightly cloudy golden colour, white head. Funky aroma, light banana, brett notes, hay, apricot, leather, barn, silage. Light sour flavour, dried apricot, sour apple, hints of triple, lemon zest, wild yeast. Funky finish, barn, banana peel, brett. Interesting.

Pour out of 375 mL bottle, thanks James! Hazy yellow-orange pour with white head that dissipates quick, aroma brought notes of slight funk, horseblanket, nice hay and bready malts, slight pepper notes into lots of white fruits, oak. Taste is a mix of oak, funk, slight lemony sour into a mix of caramel, biscuit, slight pepper and yeasty spice as well, white fruits come through as well, finishing fairly bitter, slightly oaky, slight tartness as well. Interesting for sure.

[10/9/13] Bottle at my hotel room in Brussels. 2012 bottle. 10.6%. Hazy golden with a white head. Funky aroma, yeasty, oaky, with some leather, vinegar notes and some fruitiness. Sour and slightly bitter flavor, yeasty, oaky, somewhat alcoholic, with a bit of vinegar, brett, some sweetness, malt, fruits, honey notes, a bit of caramel and a slightly spicy finish. Medium-bodied, lively carbonation. Good.

(bottle, 37.5cl, vintage 2012) Cloudy, golden colour with a blond and short foamy head. Slightly yeasty and mildly malty nose with present notes of grassy hops, accompanied by a touch of cellar/horse blanket and traces of alcohol. Mildly bitter and slightly sour flavour, medium to full bodied with a surprisingly flat carbonation. Yeasty, pale malty and mildly sour-fruity taste with notes of citrus and a mouldy cellary touch, accompanied by drying grassy hops; mildly bitter and delicately sourish tart finish with mouldy notes and a tinge of citrus and alcohol shining through. Interesting hybrid beer. 06.X.13

375ml bottle. Poured a carbonated, straw color with a fizzy off-white head. Aroma was some light citrus, sugar notes, touch of funk tartness. Alcohol is certainly here - there’s no reason for this abv as it would be far more enjoyable to consume I think, with it’s light tartness and whatnot if it were lighter. Ah well.

If you want to smell & taste alchohol/pot pourri/roses/oak/zeste/sour, this is your beer. The alchohol destroys the palate. Unbalanced. Price/quality ratio below par.
