Bottle. A - Hazy golden pear color with a good sized head that has good retention and leaves a nice layer of white lace. S - Tart, funky, and musty aromas are pretty strong. Barnyard/hay, lemongrass, and apple provide a lot of the aroma. Slightly acidic smell as well. Some pear, apricot, orange, and other golden fruits are slightly present. Slight sweetness as well. T - Similar to the nose. Apple, pear, citrus (orange and lemon) make up most of the flavor paired with a fair amount of barnyard/hay and musty flavors. Slight woody flavor mid sip. Slightly tart and funky, and just a touch of sour. Some sweet candi sugar flavor comes out as well. Grapefruit comes out a bit on the finish. Plenty of juicy fruit flavors with some tart/sour flavors but not puckering at all. M - Medium body with a good amount of carbonation. Pretty smooth for the style with just a bit of spritzty feeling and only a slight puckering and drying finish. D - Very drinkable beer with a great smooth and balanced feel and blend of flavor. Has plenty of lambic flavors but it isn’t really too strong or puckering. Notes: Vintage 2007. Really enjoyable lambic with lots of juicy fruit flavors, a good amount of musty barnyard taste and just a hint of oaky/woody flavors. Really good mix and balance of flavors.

Simply had to enjoy several bottles of this before and after LCRBM2 at the Kulminator. Milk acid and champagne nose, further light notes of chocolate and green mold. Cloudy orange, blanket head, some yeast chunks. Very deep flavor profile - Fruit (tropical, apples), milk chocolate. Walnuts retronasal. Solid body, slick mouthfeel. Applecider burps. Very interresting blend - quite amazing.

Thanks Jason for sharing this 2006 vintage beer. The beer pours to a bright copper amber body with a thin white head. The aroma is really sour and funky. Sour starfruits and barnyard yeasts. Extreme funkiness. The flavor is much more tripel like than first expected given the aroma. There are lots of esters and funky yeasts. Perhaps muddled pineapple and plantains meets gueuze. Subtle spices from the yeasts. Refreshing tart palate. I liked this one a ton.

Murky caramel poor with a nice light brown creamy head. Aromas of oak, humidity, green apples, herbal, floral, raspberries, ginger ale and a hint of caramel. WOW! Acid from the 3 fonteinen but incredibly balanced. Explosion of flavors and mouthfee;. Nice dry and sweet finish. Added flavors of pomegranate and rhubarb. 11 %???

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2008 Bottled. Clear pale amber, brief head. Concentrated citric horse blanket aroma. Sweet and sour, juicy and malty with soft, dense mouthfeel. Arousing, complex and confusing with the sweetness of a strong Berlgian ale and the tart lovely complex flavours of a real lambic. Wow!

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2013 2nd review on 03/18/2012 - bottled on 22/12/2007 - in my cellar since 31/01/2009. Still delicious :-). Pours clear deep yellow with golden hints - small to no head, unequally divided. Nose is that of grapefruit sweetness mixed with barnyard funk. Medium body with low carbonation; creamy all the way through due to a perfect balanxe between freshenss, sweetness and bitterness. Taste is complex - it is a "bouquet" as they would say in French wine terms with some sherry, vegetal and floral notes. Damn... when do they relaunch this? ---- 1st review: Definitely one of my all time favorites! While it has so much alochol, you just don’t smell/taste/feel it! My guestimate is that the lambic in the beer covers the warm and smooth tripel. You can easily drink a few of them without noticing the +/- 11% of alcohol... The nose reveils light grapefruit & some veggie impressions Mouth is full and round. Freshness kicks in, immediately followed by some bitter and warm glowth.

Bottle... This beer rocks!... Murky golden ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Terrific retention. The nose is a potent swirl of sharp cheese, wood, leather, horse blanket and lemon juice. The flavor provides extreme acidity and sourness, tempered by malt and aged hops, but not dismantled. Fruity with tart cherries. Full-bodied and creamy with lively carbonation. Lengthy, pungent, dry finish. 11% alcohol? Well-disguised! Thanks to MartinT for giving me the bottle which was shared with boboski!

Bottle from my boy Dany, Glougoburb. Shared with dalekliz and my gf cyn. Pours a nice orange with a 1 finger bright white head. Great guezy nose. Killer on the nose, this shouldn’t be a belgian strong much more like a Sour belgian mix. Taste is big and full bodied with a rousing tartness. The lambic comes through over and over again. This is really a special beer.

Taste @ brewey pub Loterbol, Diest. From 37.5cl bottle. Dark golden to orange color, with a creamy white head. Aroma like a lambic with nice sour. Medium bory. Taste is really great what a difference with the Vicardin ! A good mix sour, fruits, woods, dry ending alc. is good hidden. Very NICE.
