Aroma light malty. Hazy, copper, thick creamy beige head. Palate silky with low carbonation. Taste caramel, creamy malty with hint of vanilla and hop not e in finish. Balanced. Tasty. A fine example of amber lager.

on tap at klub malych pivovaru in pilsen. pretty reliable polotmavy - dark amber with a frothy white head; aromaa of wet metal and peanut brittle; plenty of caramel sweetness, tinny and grassy hops, red berries, modest bitterness

On tap, V podloubi, Prague. For a polotmave a bit too much on the sweet side for my liking. Aroma, taste and palate all show butter and caramel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

1.5l PET. A yeasty, caramelly and buttery beer, typical for a Czech brewpub polotmave. Alas, this one boasts some strawberry notes as well. Medium, bodied, light sweet with a dry, bitter finish. Soft mouthfeel, quite fruity flavour. Maybe a tad astringent in the aftertaste. Ok.

PET Láhev 1500 ml. Aroma je příjemné zemité. Pěna je lehce nahnědlé barvy, jemná, středně vysoká a držící. Barva samotného piva je tmavší měděná a lehce kalná. Chuť má příjemný, sladově karamelový střed, lehký banánový okraj, finiš je jemně kávově hořký a držící. Vcelku se jedná o příjemné polotmavé pivo se zajímavou chutí, dobře zahání žízeň a má vysokou pitelnost.

Keg on the square at Jiriho Z Podebrad. Pours a deep Brown with a thick White head. Looks a bit like a pint of best with its smooth, creamy head. Nice caramel notes. It’s got almost no carbonation which I like. Sometimes Polotmavys actually have a bit in common with cask ale. A full bodied, malty brew which I enjoyed greatly on a sunny Autumn morning.

(Draught at U Slovanske Lipy, Prague, 19 July 2013) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with toast, orange, apricots and rye bread. Malty taste with notes of toast, caramel, toffee, hints of orange, rye bread and a mild, spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Balanced and tasty. Quite enjoyable.
