KyotoLefty (6737) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 4, 2010
Draught at the Hotel Victor in Prague. Pitch Black, lots of bubbles, soft, super fine head. Soft malt flavor with chocolate, light coffee, a little licorice and touches of cola and wood. Minty, earthy finish. Tasty, smooth as hell, very drinkable. Sweet yet balanced. Actually quite delicious. A top level schwarz.

larsga (6323) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 23, 2008
Medium brown lasting head. Hazy deep brown almost opaque body. Sulphury coffee aroma with rye notes. Dry-sweet burnt rye grain taste with sugary notes. Very harmonic and delicate. Mid- to thin body. Dry straw, chocolate, and coffee aftertaste with floral peppery hop notes. Dry burnt rice and coffee taste settles in the mouth as you drink. Very nice! Grew on me as I drank. (0.3l draft at plan b, Copenhagen.)

Draught@Plan B, Copenhagen. Dark brown with a ruby hue. Thin beige head. Modest aroma of lightly toasted dark malts along with a scent of mouldy cellar. Roasted malt flavor supported by a fine bitterness and some coffee notes. Body is light to medium. Soft moutfeeel. Short, malty and gently bitter ending.

On tap @ Plan B. Dark reddish brown body with a dense beige head. Pleasant aroma of caramel. Nice, fruity, caramel roasted malt flavor. A nice balanced; refreshing beer with a long, smooth finish. Not particular hoppy.

rickgordon (3845) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 3, 2007
Draught sample at the brewery. Light brown colour, creamy head. Dark, toasty aroma. Silky mouthfeel, with chocolatey backbone and cocoa. Cardboard suggestions from toast. Good bitter.

TheGrandMaster (2334) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 10, 2009
Draught at the brewpub, a cloudy light brown with a large creamy off-white head. A strong orange and caramal malt aroma. A fuller mouthfeel, well balanced between the malt and hops. Citrus flavours come from the hops, along with coffee tones from the malt, along with stewed fruits and some caramal. A bittering swallow. Such complexity!

Gurthnar (2174) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - APR 23, 2012
On tap at the brewery restaurant. Dark ruby colour, creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, hints of hops, pretty average. Taste medium bitter, light sweet. Finish light bitter. This beer failed to impress me, though it is a pretty drinkable dunkel.
