Tap, Plan B Copenhagen. Dark brown color. Malty, slightly roasty, caramelly flavor with some peach. Hints of butter, caramel and grassy hops in the finish.

On tap at the brewery restaurant. Dark ruby colour, creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, hints of hops, pretty average. Taste medium bitter, light sweet. Finish light bitter. This beer failed to impress me, though it is a pretty drinkable dunkel.

draft at Hotel Victor. mild acetic notes in the nose with some light chocolate (chocolate syrup and plastic). coffee and a small touch of roast show up late. medium-high acid and dirty phenols overwhelm late. not in proper shape.

On tap at the brewpub. Very dark brown with a firm and lasting tan head. Big malty aroma with licorice notes and a touch of diacetyl. Roasted alt flavour with licorice and fruit leading to a slightly hoppy finish.

Draught at Hotel Victor, Prague. Pours deep black with a big creamy tanned head. Aroma of light roasted malts, hints of coffee. Taste is moderate sweet roasted caramel, with a burnt note towards the end. Not bad.

Draught @ Chyne Brewpub. Pours dark brown nearly black with a small white head. Nose is sweet. Chewy caramel, fruit, vague roast and liquorice. Smooth and full bodied. Dry and bitter roasted end. Niceness. PS: Had it in critical condition @ Hotel Victor. Go to Chyne brewpub instead.

omhper (15964) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 13, 2010
Draught at Hotel Victor, Prague. Near black, creamy head. Lightly sweet with coffeeish, roasty malt dominating. Above medium bodied with well rounded mouthfeel. Coffee and slight caramel, fairly low bitterness. An elegant, well controlled Czech dark lager, techincally perfect. I just struggle to find real soul.

KyotoLefty (3760) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 4, 2010
Draught at the Hotel Victor in Prague. Pitch Black, lots of bubbles, soft, super fine head. Soft malt flavor with chocolate, light coffee, a little licorice and touches of cola and wood. Minty, earthy finish. Tasty, smooth as hell, very drinkable. Sweet yet balanced. Actually quite delicious. A top level schwarz.

TheGrandMaster (2313) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 10, 2009
Draught at the brewpub, a cloudy light brown with a large creamy off-white head. A strong orange and caramal malt aroma. A fuller mouthfeel, well balanced between the malt and hops. Citrus flavours come from the hops, along with coffee tones from the malt, along with stewed fruits and some caramal. A bittering swallow. Such complexity!
