750ml bottle (shared by FatPhil, thanks). Dark amber color. No head, non expected. Sweet, real honey, faint woody notes in aroma. Lots of honey in taste. But it’s not sticky. Absolute delight to drink it.

750ml bottle (Dionizos, Radom)
Lovely pure honey aroma, has evidence of the strength, but not hot or boozy. Woody esters everywhere in the mouth, aromatic, some apple sharpness, some white grape, muscat? Thick and full palate, smooth, sticky, but it’s a drink you sip in tiny sips, that’s not a bad thing. So much honey, and very sweet, but it’s beautifully pure and natural, and the solera winey aspects give is a lighter, almost refreshing, aspect. Finish a fairly simple honey, but the whole thing is a lovely experience. So glad I’ve got 750ml of this, this is superb. I’ll miss it when I finish it. Best of the 3 I’ve had.

250ml ceramic bottle waxed and corked. Doskonaly miod ciemnawy brazowawy z lekko poswiata czerwieni. Miod lipowy w nozdrzach wyczuwalny, slodycz spora ale nie przesadna, taka szlachetna i naturalna. Wyczuwalne korzenne smaki, przyprawy oraz ziola ale trudne dla mnie do zidentyfikowania. Finisz goracy i rozgrzewajacy. Pieknie sie lepi w kieliszku. Fajna buteleczka. Czas lezakowania (9 lat tu oddal wszystko co w nim drzemie). Dzbaneg gliniano ceramiczny z uchem oraz sznureczkiem nawiazuje do starej metody garncarskiej. Polecam bardzo.

Pours a light gold. Lots of honey in the aroma and some light vanilla and spice. Good stuff.

Pours a lighter gold color. The aroma is fairly sweet honey and wood. Taste is sweet and oaky. Nice Mead, for sure. As good as any of the other meads I tried this evening.

bottle, courtesy of Schroppfy - thanks a lot! Copper-golden colour, oily consistency, lovely honey aroma. Full-bodied and sweet, not sticky, lots of honey character. Very pleasant indeed.

Pours a rich golden hue. Smells like you just cracked open a hive. Sweet honey and wax. Flavor is earthy uber sweet honey and wax. Light spices and a bit of barrel can be picked up. Hints of vanilla and maple in the finish. Real nice.

So difficult for me to figure out, this foreign language. Had this at the 2011 mid summer morning mead tasting at Vintage, nice place, y’know? Very rich in color, for a mead. Quite dark, almost dark brown like in a beer. Rather strong and rude forward smell. Alarming to the olfactory. wew, first taste is high alky, even for a wine. Borders on the effect that liquors have on my palate. Mouth coating cough medicine with sugar. Volatile, don’ light a match!

bottle at azwine 11/22/10. says it was bottled 1/25/07... crap, this is 12 years old!!!! dark orange brown. rich but not thick. very grapey aroma... reminds me of a 40 year old tawney port mixed with honey, florals, wood, almond, raisin, vanilla, dust and some fresh thyme sprigs with the dirt still attached! it gets richer and fuller as it sits. amazing stuff! 8/4/8/4/16+

Pours quite dark, like the other from this meadery. Incredible aroma, just gets stronger, more sweet, but also more pungent, piercing, spicy. Better than clove, not at biting. Good stuff! The flavor is heavily sweet, with burning alcoholic charred purple fruits (raisin, plum) amok. Pepper. Harder to drink than the previous. Delicious nevertheless. Wow, meads are a trip.
