Sampled on tap at Beer Revolution on 2/14/2011. This English Mild pours a medium amber color from the tap. Large sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, bready, malty and sweet. A medium to light bodied English Mild. The malts are caramel and sweet, bready with a slight hint of chocolate. The hops are herbal. Decent carbonation. Malt forward with some lingering hoppiness. Nice flavor, very easy to drink. A nice session ale, just as it was intended to be. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth, Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

(draft at Cafe Bierre Emeryville, Calif) Somewhat sourness to the light roasted malt flavor. Reminds me of a brown ale. Cloudy brown body. No real head. Clean palate. Thinnish body. Would be a good session beer.

On tap at Beer Revolution. It pours a dark orange/brown with a dense off white head. The aroma is nice with roasted malt and a touch of chocolate and fruit.the flavor is pretty dry with a nice grainy complexity and just a touch of astringency. Hints of burnt toast and tart berries round out a very thin mouthfeel, which is the brewers intent here, no doubt. Overall, a nice tasty session beer that goes down way too easy.
