Draught at the brewpub. Very black, minimal head. Roasty and earthy. fairly light bodied with clean mouthfeel and heavy carbonation. Notes of chocolate and caramel. A bit more edgy than their Marzen, but with some lovely flavours.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma of dark toasted malt. Near opaque black color with a minimal off-white head. A bit thin in body with mild but assertive carbonation. It is very smooth. The flavor is mellow dark toasted malt. Not at all harsh. The finish is very slightly sweet (like dark fruit), mostly toasty. Could be a light stout.
