3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draught @ Eagle Bay Brewery, Eagle Bay.
Lustrous, deep copper body with a tight, compact and creamy off-white crown. Sweet, rich biscuity malts balanced by earthy, floral and spicy hops on the nose - clean, simple, nice. A strong, spicy and floral hop bitterness takes over on first sip. Quite musty, earthy and just a little grainy in the finish with light maramlade notes lingering. Good base of lightly sweet cara-malts, nutty and cereal-like across the mid-palate, dry for the most. A little pine plays in, light diacetyl but nothing too alarming. Firm, well rounded mouthfeel with light to moderate carbonation. Really solid ESB. Managed a few pints whilst watching the sun recede over the trees lining the bay. Well made, quaffable ale!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with a thick beige head which lasts. Aromas full of caramel, biscuit and floral grassy hops. Slight sweetness comes out of the taste as the caramel blend with a touch of honey and roasted malts. Hop bitterness is quite big. My fav out of the eagle bay range.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This was darker than I expected. On tap from Mane liquour. Not offensively bitter, a good balance and was easily sessionable. Good beer!

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUL 20, 2012 Tap at Mane Liquor. Pours deep copper with a tinge of chestnut brown through it. Big, very firm head sits atop for the duration. Nose is biscuity with light hints of caramel, shortbread and a nice touch of floral and earthy hops. Light sweetness comes out in the taste. A touch of cereal and caramel mingle with toasted malts and honey. Sweetness is never too much and it is rounded out by some great floral hop tones. The hop bitterness is very noticable and makes this a great session beer. Fantastic work

Tried at Eagle Bay. Dark amber body, toasted characters in the taste, caramel/toffee on the nose. This beer was the pick of the bunch.
