COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Following the tradition of strong, hoppy beers that could make the journey from England to the colonies in India, our award-winning IPA has robust hop flavours balanced by a superb malty finish.

Bottled: A well cranked up IPA. Resinous sticky mouthfeel (in a good way) malty fruity aroma, with a reasonably complex body and a sweet malt finish. Pretty well balanced - a good one from a pretty new brewery. Looking foward to sinking a few of these babies at the brewery in the next week or so. Note there is a barrel aged version of this that exibits a ton of oak and is very good indeed, if you can find it, get it.

330ml bottle. Large frothy head of tiny bubbles that creep up the side of the glass. Strong floral hop aromas that waft from the glass, very powerful aroma. Mild bitterness is overpowering with full body and flavour and you can taste the strong alcohol presence. A pleasure to drink and a credit to this small brewery.

Sample at the brewpub. Nose was malty sweet but minimal. Medium bodied and little in the way of hoping, what was there was of marmalade. Poor.

Nice IPA with some good but not great hop notes on the nose. It was a let down in the mouth with an unusual harshness that almost seemed to burn a little ( wasn’t bitterness unfortunately). A bit sticky and resinous in the mouth as well although this was on the pleasant side of things. Good effort from this small brewer, with a few tweaks it could be VERY good.

Sample at Eagle Heights brewery. Pours amber with a medium white head. Sweet malty aroma, bread, caramel and citrusy hop notes. The flavour is bready malt, caramel and citrus. Smooth mouthfeel and the alcohol is hidden nicely. Good bitterness and more of that chewy malt in the finish. A well balanced tasty IPA.

Might be this mob’s best beer. Juiced up at 6.7% for an IPA (at least in my book) but certainly gives the beer some presence and depth. Just a touch lighter in colour than I might have expected (more bog standard amber) and a very think head. Nose shows a rich mix of hops and malt, and there’s definitely a sweet character that asserts itself. Aromas follow through well in the palate and for me the hop weight (resin and sweetness) nearly gets this beer into the 2IPA spectrum. Very solid and a great effort fromt his tiny brewer.
