COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lightly hopped with German Hallertaur hops, this refreshing mid-strength pilsner has a hint of honey on the back palate. Ideal as a thirst quencher in the hot Queensland Summer.

Another poor lager from this brewery. The nose was filled again with cabbage and butter whilst the mouth was very thin with a sharp edge. Something is really not right with this beer and their pils.

330ml bottle. Light and clear gold in colour with a soft white head. Relatively bright with aromas of citrus and a mild bitter flavour that sits well in the mouth and leaves a pleasant aftertaste.

Wow, this made xxxx gold taste good. Astringent and macro tasting. Nothing good to say...so moving on

Sample at Eagle Heights brewery. Pours pale yellow with a tiny white head. Aroma of grain, faint hop notes and lemon. The flavour is the same. Thin bodied and low bitterness. Less than inspiring, though I can’t say I was expecting too much with this one.

This might be based off the pilsner recipe? Whatever, this is a good mid-strength to my tastes and one I would happily drink. Very light in colour; just getting towards amber, and no head. Nose is a bit uninspiring with sweet malts and wheat character; a bit in the adjunct spectrum to be honest. Same again to taste (simple and a little cloying) and the more I drank the less enamoured I became. But, I like the light structure and spice, and I think it drinks well despite some shortcomings.
