This Czech-style pilsner is full-bodied while retaining a perfect crisp finish. using Czech and Australian hops its citrus notes compliment seafoods and white meats, or make it ideal for relaxing in our beer garden.

Sampled at the brewery and from a take-away bottle- both examples felt the same. Butter and cabbage on the nose with an unpleasant sharpness in the mouth that almost seemed like detergent. very un-enjoyable and a shame as one or two of their other beers were decent enough.

330ml bottle. Clear , thin and watery when poured and only a couple of shades darker than water with no head at all, only a few sparse small bubbles. The aroma is also light and airy and the body is thin with modest flavour that lacks any real punch.

Sample at the brew pub. Thin bodied and light straw colour. Malt was heavy and no hop bite to speak of. A poor rendition of the style.

Sample at Eagle Heights brewery. Pours clear golden and white head. Aroma and flavour of sweet pilsener malt, citrus and hops. A little bland but it does hold up well on the palate, it’s a clean and crisp tasting pils. OK bitterness just needs some more flavour for drinkability purposes.

Decidely less impressive out of the bottle when compared to tap at the brewery. Has some popcorn butter running through the nose and palate, probably a mild fault, and certainly not appropriate for the style. Hops show ok spice and bitterness. Bad bottle I hope.
