pours really yellow. aroma is faint but a little fruity. sourness is minimal but the acid does leave its mark. very refreshing. one of my favorite sour ales so far because it doesn’t try to pucker your mouth into a grimace

750ml bottle from a trade on BA. Pours hazy yellow straw color with white head. Aromas of lemon, oak, and white grapes. Flavors of tart lemon, oak, some white white notes, and light grain. Has a real nice tartness and was very drinkable. Body was nice. I must of got a good bottle because i did not get any nail polish or strong vinegar flavor at all. Thought this was great, and extremely underrated.

Tap. Blonde pour. Aroma is funky. Sour notes are present, but other than this the funkiness is hard to describe. The taste was good. Good sourness and some white wine characteristics. High carbonation.

(Growler, courtesy of BMan1113VR) clear medium yellow with lasting fine white bubbles. Nose of apple, cereal grain, fruity, and a tiny bit funky. Taste of nail polish remover, very vinegary, cereal grain, acidic as well as acetic in the finish.

Draft at Stone Sour Fest 11. Light cloudy yellow pour. Cheap grain, light lemon zest, and a bit of funky tartness. Overall not much going on here, drinkable, but I wouldn’t seek this out.

A: The pour is a pale straw color with a white head.
S: Smells more like an adjunct lager than a wild ale. Lots of straw, grass, and a bit of...corn? Sour lemon and random spices with a bit of oak and leather.
T: The flavor doesn’t impress me either. Acidic and lemony with a bit of bread and musty funk. A light oak and green apple character. Not really too much going on.
M: Light in body with a medium level of carbonation.
O: This was very disappointing. I thought that Yearling was decent, but this really missed the mark.

Tap at stone sour festival 2011. Ok sharp chemical, all in all shitey, really not ready for release.

Tap at Verdugo Bar for the Anniversary party. I was excepting very little because of the ratings but this was delightful. A pretty radiant straw color, cannot see through it. Its a lemony, tary, light drinking beaut. I can drink that all summer long. Easy body with nice tartness all around. No off putting aspects to the beer. No nail polish, no acetone, seems like someone got a bad growler.

(Growler, courtesy of BMan1113VR) Pours a clear pale yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of lemon, vinegar, herbs, dough, and a lumberyard. Flavor of fruit, vinegar, subtle herbs, and chemicals with a dry finish.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Cavie (3248) - Fort Worth, Texas, USA - FEB 16, 2011
Growler courtesy bu11zeye and BMan1113VR. Clear straw yellow appearance with a small amount of bubbles. Aroma is vinegar, huge sour notes and nail polish. Very sour flavor with lots of nail polish remover flavor. Almost so sour it turns sweet. Finishes with a tingle that fades quickly, thankfully.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy pastel yellow with a creamy thin cap of white atop. Leaves sparse sudsy lacing.
Aroma: Fresh lemon and lemon drop candy.
Taste: Lemon, lemon pepper, vinegar, finishing with tart notes and bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Modest carbonation, juicy.
Overall: I really enjoyed this beer.
