COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our interpretation of the West Coast IPA is well-balanced and huge in hop flavor and aroma without overpowering bitterness. A blend of hop varietals yields tropical fruit aromatics that give way to flavors of grapefruit and pine. The balancing malt presence brings out a bready character and light caramel undertones that lay the foundation to showcase the hops. Welcome to the endless West-Coast Summer!

poured from a 22 oz. bomber into a tulip glass, it is a hazy, cloudy almost opaque yellow-orange with a nice head. It’s labeled a "West Coast IPA"... Not sure what make it west coast other than the fact that it’s brewed in LA. At first I thought it had similarities to many other IPA’s: nice citrus aroma, generous head, a touch of bitterness. What makes this IPA different is the amount of biscuit malt flavor it has. Yes, there are the expected grapefruit and pine hop notes, but this has way more malted barley presence than any other IPA I have had in recent memory.

Draft at Sprenger’s. Bright deep gold with receding scraggly froth. Aroma as American as cowboy bald eagle Stratocaster baseballs, pungent and stemmy. Assertive flavors evoke radicchio, lime, and 7up. Sweet enough in the finish to be a satisfying beverage independent of accompaniment.

Lightly hazy golden-orange body, medium to thin off-white head, spotty lacing. Shampoo, bubblegum, and cracker. Not much else. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, soft bitterness, light sweetness, muted hinish.

Bottle at Bills with some Dads. Smell and flavor are bubblegum and not too hoppy. Barely any bitterness plus a touch caramel sweet. Pass on this west coast IPA.

Bottle courtesy of frank at bills. Pours a bright hazy orange with white lacing. Nose is honey drizzled grapefruit. Mouthfeel is medium to dry with notes of dry spice and bitter flowers.

Best by date 1/31/15 Appearance was clear golden with lasting creamy white 2 finger lacing. Aromas are soft grapefruit, orange, lemon with slight crackery malt sweetness, no alcohol. Taste is citrus of orange, grapefruit and lemon upfront but restraint. Middle is soft sweet bread malts with onion, grapefruit and mild pine backend. Palate was creamy smooth CO2 with medium body, then balanced soft smooth bitter finish. Overall a mild west coast ipa, not in your face bitterness.

Light sweet ipa. Would be great for a spring day. Would like it to be a little more bitter.

Candied, citrusy aroma. Clear and very pale. Lively, sweetish, probably not as bitter as you would expect. Medium body. Decent but routine. Thanks to Byron at Proof.

On draft. Faintly chalky aroma. Loose lacing. Early burst of sweet blood orange gives way to toast. Big burst, bitter fade. Summery.

Growler at jackl’s tasting, courtesy of the person who brought it, thank you! Nice aroma of fresh pine and light fruit. Taste is bitter pine resin.

Pours a hazy golden with a white head and hoppy, citrusy aroma. Taste is bitter, hop. Let’s with citrus, peach, fruits, and pine with a bitter, dry finish. Very drinkable, refreshing IPA
