3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap Dec. 10th at Spring Street Bar in downtown LA. Pours a nice, slightly cloudy orange with moderate head. Good lacing through finish. Flavorful and enjoyable for a lighter hoppy ale. Good for drinking several with friends and family. Nice.

Decent pale. Light in flavor, like most American pales. Not really special but nice.

Pour on tap at the brewery, yellow pour with white head, aroma brought notes of sweet orange, orange peel, nice grapefruit into grass, pine as well, some caramel, biscuit, yeasty notes, pretty nice and hopped up. Taste was a mix of sweet orange, lemon, slight grapefruit into bitter pine, grass, slight biscuity notes, hints of vanilla, finishing fairly bitter.

Bottle from South Bay Liquor: Poured a golden straw blonde color with a minimal amount of head formation up top. Aroma is grassy with a scent of hay and whole grain malted wheat. The flavor is average for the pale ale style and sort of reminds me of weak profiled amber ale. Nothing special but the bottle label was different and kinda cool to look at.

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2013 Pours a gold yellow with decent head. Aroma is barley and corn husky malt with a mild earthy herbal hops note. Taste follows the aroma perfect. Medium mouth feel. Nice pale ale! Epic malt backbone!

22 oz bottle from Frazier Farms. Usually I am not a fan of XPAs but this was a great quaffable brew. Perfect with the BBQ on hit humid day. Well balanced nicely hopped dry brew. Very clear nice head. Nice dry crisp finish.

Bottle shared by beerboxer. Pours blonde with a huge off-white head and a citrus aroma. There is a smooth pale malt flavor with a nice balancing bitterness.

On tap at Brewsters, LAX. Nice vibrant looking amber pour with a buoyant, lasting head. Nose initially leafty and malty, but fruit comes on appealing with deeper snorts. Playful, light mouthfeel and a dry finish. This is a solid, flavorful session ale that’s just short of fully fruity, with nice dry notes and spice in the finish.
