A really well balanced brew. Plenty of sour notes but the fruit and malt really tie this together. An impressive effort from Eagle Rock.

A: Pours the suspected dark amber color with a finger of off-white head.
S: This isn’t a terribly fragrant beer. A decent amount of vinegar sourness along with a little bit of sweet, caramel malts. There are minimal fruit notes of cherries and potentially raisins.
T: The cherry stands out a bit more on the tongue. Nice sour cherry and fruits, and a moderate acetic character. A little bit sweet from the toffee/caramel malts. There is just a hint of grassy funk in there, too.
M: On the thin side of medium in body with a medium carbonation.
O: A decent attempt at a sour, but some fine tuning will be needed.

Tap at Verdugo Bar, served in a snifter. This was right on the money. I am glad I got to try it on my short trip. Appearance is dark, dank, muddy, and murky red. Looks just like the sediment of good cherry juice. The beer is great to style, light acidity, lots of cherry, some lactic but no overbearing sourness. Just has a good level of sourness. Has medium light body and super quality. I thought I was drinking this in Belgium.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied with modest carbonation.
Overall: Solid, very sour.
