Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 09, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.
Clear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, toffee, light caramel, light to moderate hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090807]

Cask at GBBF 2009. Fairly typical blond ale, nothing wrong with it, but a bit watery.

Sample, gravicask, from the East Coast Bar, GBBF 09. Clear golden in appearance. Light floweriness of hops to the nose. Some balance of passion fruits and semi-sweet malts in flavour. Subdued bitter finish. Average for the style (Earls Court 07.08.2009).

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2009 From the barrel at the brewery: Nice and light, drinkable and with enough dusty hops flavours to give it a wee kick. A good session. Bottle, filtered: Kinda malty to the nose. Weirdly boozy, like an apple brandy mixed with pear drops. In the mouth it is light and fruity, metallic in a malty way. Sly little dusty notes there too. Quite heady. Pretty tasty little one actually. More interesting than many.

A Mes rate. Gravicask at Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. Darkish gold, nice and clean, very thin white head. Straight forward earthy malt aroma with some delicate citric hops. Strange wheaty bitterness to the flavour, slightly sickly malt. Rather run of the mill and a little short on character.
