Cask (Peterborough Beer Festival 2004) Deep ruddy brown. Fruity sweet malty aroma. Really full in the mouth, both roasted malts and hops. Good healthy finish too. Stunning mild.

Cask at Wenlock Arms, London. A deep red beer with a creamy beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with light roasted notes. The flavor is sweet malty with medium notes of roasted malt combined with lighter notes of chocolate, leading to a dry roasted finish. The body is thin. OK, but not my favorite style.

Comments: A bit sticky really, malty mild lacking in fruitiness and roastiness. Focusing on sweet toastiness instead.

Bottled, RBESG 07. Sweet and mild, this is not my favourite type, I prefer more dry hoppiness.
