On draft at the brewpub. Pours a dark coppery amber with no head. Aroma of bitter lemon zest and light candied sugar. Taste of zesty lemon, sourness, grains and earth.

Medium copper pour with off white head and lace. Rich caramel malt aroma with a sweetness and spice. Rich spicy caramel malt flavor. Full bodied but just a tad too foamy for me. A different but very drinkable beer.

On tap at EB+B. Pours a dark brown iced tea like colour with no head. Aroma of spices, candied malts, and zesty lemon. Flavour of candied malts with a fruity, sour touch. New to the ratings thing so I couldn’t quite nail the aroma and flavour.

Tap at Spuyten a ways back. Aroma of flowers, nectar, juicy fruits, perfume, some cocoa. Flavor of sweet malt with more perfume and floral notes, caramel, candy-like toffee/graham. Quite drinkable. I liked it.

Tap at Spuyten Duyvil. Goldenrod pour, lively carb, no head. Pumpkin, umami, stale cheese, poo aroma. Sweet, tart, pear flavor. Thin and grainy. This beer is all over the place. At first I liked it but the more I drank the more unbearable it became. Sadly this was one of the best of the event.

Tap at Spuyten Duyvil. Amber pour with no head at all. The aroma is unusual. Softly fruity and herbal, but substantially different from most gruits I’ve had. A sort of light yeasty fruitiness and a bit of spice. The flavour shows some of the typical spicy/herbal notes. Light-bodied with a touch of tartness. A bit of apricot and a long lingering mintiness. Pretty solid really.

Draft at SD. Pours a mahogany body with a thin bubbly head. Toasted malt, nutty with lighter dried subtle fruit in the background. Cereal and bread y notes as well as dehydrated cherry. Eh so so.

Draft at Spuyten Duyvil. Light brown pour. Aroma is of fruit and malt. Flavor is sweet not very hard to drink but beer is not great.
