A riche amber color with no carb, but once again, it’s an old growler. Aroma has a sweet vanilla with a slight sour and creaminess. The flavor has a sweet caramel vanilla and a strong bitterness that sweeps over quickly. Bananced, but they take their turns. Very resiny and a little fruity. Good body.

10.29.09 - Growler Pour courtesy santoslhalper. Pours yellow/caramel with little carbonation. Alcohol and sweet caramel nose. Good mouthfeel, mild carb. Caramel with mild to moderate bitter, under attenuated, but still solid. Odd bitter with the bitter trying to fight through a sweet after. Not bad.

Hazy orange amber with a medium sized, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of honey malts, toasted dough, citrus, and other fruits. Taste of citrus, hay, toffee, caramel, and nuts with a dry finish.

From growler courtesy of santoslhalper. Has a really wonderful caramel aroma. Sweet with a good alcohol sniff. Reminiscent of the bière de gardes I had in France. No hops. Deep golden amber clear with no head. medium watery body with medium-light carbonation and alcoholic warming. Starts sweet and mildly boozy. Tons of caramel from the three hour boil. Very little hops but iwth nutty after - a little chalky. Nice beer.

On draft at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy orange vistalite with a medium sized off white head. Aroma of fruity malts. Taste is much the same as the aroma-fruity malts.

All right! I like being the first rater on a beer. This was on tap at the brewpub. This is fairly sweet, malty marzen - fresh and tasty.
