Naka (642) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 13, 2009
From a growler courtesy of Jon. Pours a hazy honey color. A small foamy hint of a head, but not much is expected from a few day-old growler. Aroma is very floral and wheaty. Some coriander and a little juniper. The flavor has a little savory almost goldfish cracker to it. I don’t know, that sounds bad, but it is kind of nice. A dry, bitter, and grainy finish. The body is a lot fuller than I had imagined... almost rich. Not quite as interesting as I had hoped, but pretty solid.

draught at earth bread-Pours what looked like water straight from the delaware, the haziest. cloudiest beer I’d ever seen. at first it had a big foamy head but that dissapated fast and left this slightly more yellow than grapefruit juice looking elixer. nose was spicy. sort of like a wheat beer but more bready. taste was sweet with a bit of spicyness going on and some bready characteristics. very intreguing stuff, slightly to sweet for my taste but very different, and very full flavoured.

From Growler courtesy of Jon. Pours cloudy yellow with white head. Wheaty nose with juniper, slightly crackery. Taste is witty, bready with dry juniper finish. Tasty and extremely drinkable, especially for the rarity of the style.

on tap at the brewpub. Hazy blonde in color with a small off white head which quickly fizzles out. Aroma of light banana esters, with alot of wheat and some bready pale malts, some spice and sweetness. Taste has wheat, bready malts, and yeast in the forefront, some light banana, citrus, spices, and pale malt sweetness. Low carbonation. Definitely an Interesting style.

From the tap poured a hazy straw color with a good amount of head. Nice light spicy flavor with a quick finish.

On draft at the brewery. Poured hazy orange with absolutely no head whatsoever. Surprisingly mild carbonation. Wheaty, bready nose. Flavor was of a typical hefe profile, bananas and pronounced wheatiness. A bit of a spicy, saisonesque finish. A fine offering but the appearance sure left something to be desired.

Nate (3093) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 16, 2009
From growler courtesy of santoslhalper. Has a nice sweet aroma with mild grain notes and light powdery herbal notes. Bit of a sour tang in the nose. Cloudy pale amber with thin off-white head. Medium body with medium light carbonation. Has some orange peel, light fruity notes and a bit of juniper - though I crave a lot more! Overall a light and refreshing ale with mild finishing astringency. Tasty.

Draft. Poured a super hazy golden yellow with a small whispy white head. Spiced aroma of berries, clove and wheat. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Flavor of berries, grain, lemon grass and light spice. Interesting and drinkable but more suited for warmer weather sipping.
