On tap, at brewpub. Pours a clear dark mahogany with a small wispy beige head. The nose is toasty, roasty, and deeply malty with just a touch of peat. The flavor is sweet, thick, and peaty with really great depth to the malt. Lots of dark toffee and just the right amount of peat smokiness for me. Just a light hint of alcohol on the finish. Mouthfeel is full and thick with nice soft carbonation. Sweet and a touch sticky, but not cloying at all. A very nice beer!

Pours a deep brown with amber notes and a smaller creamy off white head that laced. Aroma of toffe, light smoke, caramel and toasted malt. Flavor of light smoke, toffee, nuts and caramel.

Lightly hazy brown color with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast, nuts, caramel malts, cocoa, raisins, and some alcohol. Taste of caramel, nuts, roast, tobacco, some chocolate, sweeter raisins, and a bit of alcohol in the finish.

Draft. Forgot to add, 7%ABV. Pours deep brown with a thin head. Sweet malty aroma with a light roasty/toasty character. The flavor is malty and lightly sweet, with some toasty and nutty notes. Enjoyable.
