COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A very malty Scottish-style ale with subtle smokiness and rich caramel flavors. It is deep copper in color and full-bodied with a warming finish. Ninety bob refers to the practice of grouping beer by its tax assessment in shillings (or bobs). So ask your server for a glass of Ninety-Bob.

Not bad, but not my favorite from EB+B. A bit thin on the finish with slightly peated malt sweetness dominating the palate. I found myself wanting a bit more toasty caramel-toffee flavors, and a slightly thicker body.

Draught at Earth at the Thursday pre-RBSG gathering. Poured an awesome looking reddish-amber body under a tight foamy small super light beige head. Aroma of light chestnut, chocolate, toast and peat. Body was smooth and velvety with average carbonation. The flavor had a slight bit of aclohol up front, peat, roastiness and hint of smoke. Overall a very nice beer but either my sniffer was off or this was subdued, however this is NO Wee Heavy Yo.....that shit rocked.

Tap at brewery. Served on cask. Deep amber, small head. Looks more like nitro than cask. Deep malts, caramel, bready. Lighter body than your average scotch ale. Solid and enjoyable.

[Cask] Lightly hazy brown color with a small, creamy head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, nuts, cherry, and light smoke. Taste of sweeter caramel, earth, tobacco, smoke, roast, and a semi-sweet finish.

On draft at Earth. Pours a clear coppery amber with a small light beige head. Aroma of light candied malt, faint fruit and hints of honeysuckle. Taste is much the same as the aroma.

On cask. Pours a clear reddish amber with a small frothy off-white head that retained as a thin covering. The nose is sweetly malty with toasted and caramel malts, just a light hint of smokiness. The flavor is much the same, on the sweeter side with less smokiness than I would like. Still lots of nice maltiness and a toasty finish. Medium bodied, slightly clingy, with nice smooth cask feel. Overall pretty decent, but not stand-out.
