Dark brown, nearly opaque with a small, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, smoked wood, and nuts. Taste of roast, smoke, dark chocolate, nuts, light spices, and a dry finish.

13 oz. draft at brewpub. Poured deep brown in color with a tan head that left lacing on the glass. Aroma of toasted malts, roasted coffee, chocolate, and some earthy notes. Tastes of roasted malts, chocolate, toffee with some slight notes of Belgian fruity esters.

Tap at Earh. Pours a deep brown with a medium creamy tan head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, chocolate and nuts. Flavor the same, like how the Belgian yeast comes across in this one.

On draft at the brewpub. Pours a dark cola with a small beige head. Aroma of malt and slight char. Taste is malty with a charred flavor.

Draft. Pours near black with a thin head. Sweet and roasty malt aroma with a spicy belgian yeast character. The flavor has belgian yeast and a light fruitiness up front with a solid dose of roasted malts on the back end. Pretty good.
