Dark brown with a small, light tan head that left no lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, some cocoa, roasted nuts, and light smoke. Taste of roast, caramel, chocolate, and a drier finish.

From a growler, from the brewpub, into a pint glass. The name says porter, it’s listed as a porter, but the board at Earth described it as a brown ale, and correctly so. Pours a kind of dark, but translucent brown. Aroma of brown sugar and some coffee. Mouthfeel is light and drinkable. Taste is tangy. Plenty of coffee, brown sugar, mild hops and a very little bit of alcohol. A very good and drinkable brown ale. I like it!

On draft at Earth. Pours a deep maple amber with a thick cream colored head. Aroma of malts, toffee and caramel. Taste is much he same as the aroma.
