Draft. Wow was I impressed with this one. Poured a super deep brown with some maroon highlights around the edges and an average size light beige head. Aroma of peat, smoke, roasted malts, dark fruits and chocolate. Perfect palate that was easily quaffable with just a slight hint of the high underlying ABV. Flavors of malts, dark fruits, chocolate, smoke and peat. Excellently done and if Earth was growlering their beers I would have left with about five growlers of this baby.

From a growler that Jon brought to the old club. Pours a really dark brown with some reddish hues and a small 1/2 finger light tan head. Aroma has a ton of cherries and fudge. There is a lot of alcohol presence as well. The flavor is extremely rich. It is some kind of a chocolate cherry cordial. This would be a very nice desert beer. No real flaws. It is a touch sweet, but that is standard for the style in my opinion. Body is like melted butter. This is awesome.

Growler pour courtesy of Jon. Pours brown/red/black, thin brown head. Nose of huge chocolate and cherry, alcohol and caramel. Taste is roasty and caramel, chocolate, with mild bitter. Absolutely tasty, full body. Chewy. Great brew Jon. Please make this one again.

Poured a lightly hazy, dark brown color with a small, light tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, dark fruits, smoke, and chocolate. Taste of caramel, smoke, sweet chocolate, roasted malts, dried fruits, and some alcohol in the finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Dark lightly hazy brown with some red highlights. Aroma is quite smoky for the style, with molasses, a touch of chocolate, and some bready yeast. Taste is smoky and malty- molasses, light chocolate, bready yeast and malts. A bit unrefined, but in this case I liked that attribute. Full bodied with some light alcohol in the finish. Enjoyed it.

Tap at BT. Pours a really deep mahogany brown with ruby highlights and a thin lasting head- some lace. Aroma is smoked malts, meaty, lots of caramel malts, crystal, toffee, molasses, brown sugar- hints of peat smoke and earthiness. Flavor is more earth and molasses, leather, smoke, peat, plum fruitiness, honey, turbinado, with a mostly clean yet meaty smoke in the finish- smooth and big!

Tap @ Blind Tiger. Poured a very deep opaque brown/black color with a beige head. Mild-moderate sweet fruity aroma with a roasted malt base. Notes of plum skins, chocolate, smoke, and dried dark fruits. The flavor is roasty with a taste of dry ( not dried) fruit and cocoa. Light smoke. Medium bodied and warming. Nice stuff here.

From growler courtesy of santoslhalper. Roasty chocolatey malt with molasses and light licorice. Has that smoky sweet tang and malty sweet character with a little hop character. Fruity chocolate covered cherries. Dark brown black clear with a foamy light tan head. Medium heavy body with medium carbonation. Sweet and heavy malt with roasted grain, chocolate, caramel, and molasses. Cherries. Very little bitterness. Warming. This is nice and smooth and delicious. A bit beyond the style but darn good.
