2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from ed through local beer trade... Amber in color, smells malty not much hops to speak of in aroma or taste. More of a light amber ale than an ipa. Ed said he drain poured his but I will probably drink it, it’s not terrible just a bad example of an ipa.

Gennesee huh? Bummer. Little white head fades quick. Amber/copper color, little hazy, lotsa chunks left behind. Mild nose of old malts and some more old malts. Body is almost medium a little astringent. Stale malts, fairly dry, soapy and dusty, slight pine and something else, cardboard? Dry, crusty finish. Bottle from statelineliquors. Not necessary.

Pours straw yellow with minimal aroma-mostly hay. Slight bitter ending. Otherwise a weak IPA. Slight lemon and hay flavor upfront. Kind of watery.

9/7/13 bottle from ken. Sitting out front. It's an ipa according to the label but not a whole lot to this. Mild bitterness. He'll mild taste. Almost feels like its watered down

Decent, has more of a double ipa base without the backbone... Fairly simple pallette with copper aftertaste

12oz. Poured a lighter amber/gold with a nice pillow of a head. Aromas of light citrus, some light pine, and a old funk. Flavor is much of the same but not really enjoyable. The is some off note in this that made me not enjoy it at all. Calling this an IPA is somewhat of a joke also.....maybe dark pale ale? Meh, the only good part was how the beer looked.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
bottle Completely average IPA. Warm amber in color, white head, nose is slightly spicy, hops are piney and resinous, just enough malt to give the beer balance and body. Not completely upset since I bought the 6 pack half price, but I wont be buying this one again.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A bit watery, earth, and trashy. Hops are there, but weaken quickly in the finish. Missing punch and edge in the bitterness. A rather meek IPA.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Capone’s. Pours bright golden, translucent, with frothy off-white head. Nose is heavy citrus, pale malt, lemongrassy hops. Tastes very citric, acrid, with notes of pale malt. Finsishes very bitter, lemony, and tart. OK, but not balanced well. Still, 1x10 E 6 better than anything Genessee has made before.
