Cask at The New Oxford, Manchester. A brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of malt - sweet as well as roasted as well as lighter notes of chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, chocolate, and roasted malt.

Cask Stillage in the Outside Marquee at the Prince Of Wales, Foxfield 08/11/2008 Fruit aroma. Dark coloured a little rich on the palate and strong in alcohol with a hint of spiced flavour. Some dryness and bitterness in the finish.

Cask @ The New Oxford, Salford, Manchester M3. Pours a dark reddish brown color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty caramel aroma with some hints o licorice. Sweetish malty slightly roasted caramel flavor with some hints of smoke and some hints of chocolate. Has a sweetish malty caramel finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Clear medium to dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, smoke, light notes of coffee and licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090121]
