Cask (handpump) @ The Star Inn, Huddersfield, England. @ [ The Star Inn Summer Beer Festival ]. this was also one of the worst blond I tried. Completely uninteresting Golden color with citric hops and nothing more.

Pours hazy, pale golden with a small, frothy rim of foam. Aroma has flowers, light elderflowers, sweet malts. Light carbonation, a tad thin. Flavour has pine, some elderflowers, sweet malts and a little sugary.

Light unclear medium yellow color with a average, creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, fruity, light to moderate hoppy, citrus - fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20090716]

RBESG Sheffield 2009. Handpump at The Star Inn Summer Beer Festival, Huddersfield. Hazy yellow colour, white head. Aroma of sulphur, cooked vegetables. Luckily the flavour was a lot better, with grassy lemony hops, bit of malts, nice bitter finish.

Ok... in a departure from normal rating... due to the INCREDIBLY high number of BLOND ales during the Shefiled trip that all blended into one another im breaking them down into three catagories

Catagory A : Golden Yellow ... light fruity lemon hop nose ... soft dull light lemon hop

Catagory B : Amber ... light dry lemon hop ... soft light lemon hop with a little malt in background

Catagory C : Amber ... soapy lemon nose ... light brigh lemon hop

Catagory D : Amber ... light grassy lemon hop ... dry grassy lemon hop
