Winter rental black lager is inspired by the German schwarzbier - a hearty, yet soft and elegeant brew that brings comofort to the late fall and winter months. Deep in color and flavor, you’ll savor winter rental’s subdued, up-front hop taste, delicious malty middle and balanced finish.

Pours a dark brown black with a moderate white head. Smells of bread and caramel. Taste is very sweet mildly bitter. A bit like cough medicine. Caramel and bread barely any hops

All of the elements are there but it comes across too thin and not enough roasty bite. Quaffable but just OK,

Beer pores a nice dark color and lives up to its black lager name but other than looks, this beer is def below par. Aroma is alright, but taste is not. I would pass on this one if i were you.

Bottle thanks to the pester. It pours clear deep brown with small beige head. The nose is toasty, cocoa, caramel, dried fruits, sticky and candy. The taste is bitter-sweet, cocoa, light roast, spice, caramel, candy and mild bitterness with a dry, sweetish finish. Light-medium body and moderate carbonation. Fairly simple, but not bad.

Bottle shared at chriso’s - big thanks to the Peter. Pours clear, amber-ruby with a creamy off-white head. The nose has dried berries, leather, leaves. Light-medium sweet flavor with grapes, ripe berries, bread, some prunes and other leathery fruits. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish with plenty of ripe fruits, berries. Very drinkable stuff.

Pours brown with white head and lively carbonation. Aroma is of grassy hops, grain, caramel and bready malt and some black cherries. Body is medium and smooth. Taste is of caramel malt, bread crust and herbal hops. Finish is long and herbal, semi-dry. Overall it is good brew, but taste more like Dunkel than Schwarz beer.

Aroma - is ok, it has nice rich malts in the nose and a little dark notes. Appearance - is a dark brown Coca-Cola color. Not much head, joust a faint halo of white. Taste - it’s malts ahoy, semi-sweet Feel - is sticky and sweet, and the finish is swift and soft. It is a nice beer for session drinking. Very enjoyable, with some distinct characteristics.

Pours dark red/brown to black. No discernible aroma. Initial earthy flavor that quickly disappears and a late arriving malty aftertaste. Pretty unremarkable.
