Winter rental black lager is inspired by the German schwarzbier - a hearty, yet soft and elegeant brew that brings comofort to the late fall and winter months. Deep in color and flavor, youíll savor winter rentalís subdued, up-front hop taste, delicious malty middle and balanced finish.

Uggh! Smells good, looks good, tastes like youíre stuck in the snow!! What off taste, nasty ass yeast is this made with? Sour trying to be hidden behind a smokescreen of weird grain and odd hops. Fizzy. Badly fizzy. Avoid.

Draft flight at beach haus belmar. Dark malt, thin body, caramel, nutty, earthy hops, a little spice. Not bad.

July 2014 at Chrisís Caspar do. Smooth, malty, sweet with a chalky finish. Full mouthfeel. Chocolate. Good beer. Flavoursome.

Pours like a cola w/ essentially no head or lacing. The aroma is nearly nonexistent as there is a faint undertone of caramel malt. The taste has a touch of caramel in it but not much else. Itís slightly metallic but finishes fairly clean. Nothing special here!

Pours a clear deep brown color with little head. Aromas were more pronounced as I began to drink than just sniffing into the glass. Caramel, bread, light sugar, and some spices. Taste was medium sweetness with little bittering to it. Body felt lighter with a thin texture. I was expecting it to be a little more full as a winter beer, but I still liked this and drank it down pretty quickly.

12oz bottle poured a translucent deep mahogany brown with some nice, foamy, creamy, lacing white head. Nose has some malt, a little bread, quite yeast, a little milk chocolate, some cola. Flavor is malty, bread, mild chocolate, mild caramel, some yeast. Creamy finish. Pretty solid.

Backlog rating. Bottle at Caspar tasting at Chrisoís, London. It pours a dark brown color with a small tan head. Aroma is dark malts, cocoa powder, X-mas spices and caramel. Taste is grainy and lightly sweet, with notes of caramel, roasted malts, ashy wood, cocoa. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, quite nice

Pours a dark brown black with a moderate white head. Smells of bread and caramel. Taste is very sweet mildly bitter. A bit like cough medicine. Caramel and bread barely any hops

All of the elements are there but it comes across too thin and not enough roasty bite. Quaffable but just OK,

Beer pores a nice dark color and lives up to its black lager name but other than looks, this beer is def below par. Aroma is alright, but taste is not. I would pass on this one if i were you.

Bottle thanks to the pester. It pours clear deep brown with small beige head. The nose is toasty, cocoa, caramel, dried fruits, sticky and candy. The taste is bitter-sweet, cocoa, light roast, spice, caramel, candy and mild bitterness with a dry, sweetish finish. Light-medium body and moderate carbonation. Fairly simple, but not bad.
