Cloudy orange pour with a thin white head. Caramel, citrus, pine and grass in aroma. Grapefruit hop taste. Light hop bitterness is main theme. douglas88 (1686), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

Pours a deep red-brown color with a massive white head. The aroma is citrus orange hops, seemingly sweet. The flavor though is very hoppy, quite bitter, some citrus and pine, but loads of bittery goodness. A very good IPA. One of my favorites of the night. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

It really tastes almost identical to Victory HopDevil on tap.... Big Hop has an impressive amber (almost ruby) color, inviting citrusy aroma, plenty of red grapefruit hop flavor and bitterness (mild to moderate level overall), and just enough underlying malt to balance everyting out. This beer is very sessionable and just as good as Victory HopDevil.
Draught (several pints) at August Henry’s (across for the Marriott) in Pittsburgh, PA. Rating #70 for this beer.

Aroma is of sweet hoppy goodness, appearance takes a hit because of a lack of head, but the murky dark red liquid looks great in a mug. Flavor is..well its hoppy goodness with a semi sweet twist. afireinside96 (842), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 16, 2009 Growler bought back for me from The ’Burgh by BeerGestapo. Big thanks Mike. Lightly hazed dark amber with a thin diminishing head. Faint smell of pine and toffee. Grassy, caramel, citrus flavors. Bitterness is semi-intense at first but quickly takes a backseat. Not bad, but not nearly as good as the other beers I have had from East End. keepersj12 (825), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 20, 2009 On tap at East End. Pours an orangish amber with a pretty substantial head. Nose is full with hops goodness. A lot of citrus and a little bit of floral hops are there. Flavor is excellent as well. Lots of balance between the malt and hops with a bit more of a pine/grapefruit in the finish. RHeastings (438), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 28, 2009 Enjoyed via draft. Probably the best beer from East End. Nose is dominated by American hops. I noticed some complexity in terms of hop flavor, but not as much as the best examples of the style. I would have liked to see a little more hop flavor on the back end, along with slightly more malt complexity. Not outstanding, not awful.
