COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Big Hop IPA – the first of the brews from Pittsburgh’s newest and MICRO-est microbrewery to hit the streets. Truly, a hopped-up American IPA with loads of Centennial and Cascade hops, and just barely enough malt backbone to balance it out. Our flagship brew.

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2005 Draught - new brewery in Pittsburgh - very exciting!! Big citrusy hop taste - full bodied, wonderful amber color. Reminded me of Dogfish Head’s 60 minute IPA. This one should be on tap shortly at a variety of places around Pittsburgh. I’ve had it at Kelly’s and Fatheads now - can never find a seat in D’s ;-)

Hop Head Heaven here in Homewood! Tried on tap locally. Gorgeous copper color, very hoppy nose. Beautiful balanced taste finishing with a massive bitter, citrusy twang. I need more!!

Not overwhelming or excessive in the use of hops and a pleasant, non-bitter aftertaste. No recoil on the nose.

Had it on tap at the Bottleshop Cafe in Bridgeville. It had a nice golden color with a little bit of white head. Nice level of carbonation and a nice hop aroma, very fresh smelling. Pretty hoppy in flavor, but not too much so. Well balanced. Overall a very easy drinking refreshing beer. Not the best IPA I’ve head, but definitely one of the best. I’m going to go out to East Liberty and get a growler full.

This is a vey good beer. I love that fact that I can drive two miles and go to a wharehouse, meet the brewery, and see it being brewed. It has a floral taste to it, but the hops just keep coming!

On tap at East End. Pours an orangish amber with a pretty substantial head. Nose is full with hops goodness. A lot of citrus and a little bit of floral hops are there. Flavor is excellent as well. Lots of balance between the malt and hops with a bit more of a pine/grapefruit in the finish.

My kind of beer. I wish it was more hoppier. But, nice hoppy aroma, good hoppy sweet brew. Good balance, good co2 mix. Well done!!

Tap at mane liquor. Great Orange/lemon citrus aroma, which is really brought to life with the first mouthful. Mild bitterness that finishes well with all the citrus flavour combined with its light carbonation make this IPA a great easy drinking beer for any occasion.

This is the best micro brew IPA I've ever had. Draft has a great color and aroma. Good piney after taste. Hint of malt keeps it balanced and smooth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On Tap, Bites and Brews, Pgh

Poured golden. Nice creamy white head, and nice lacing on the glass. Aroma sweet and of grapefruit, alot of citrus notes from it. Flavor citrusy and grapefruity. Nice hop bite as it warmed. Not overpowering, easy to drink. Nice mix of hops and malts. nicely mixed brew. Medium mouthfeel, carbonation was good. Overall a nice IPA and I don’t like IPA’s.
