3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
1Liter flip top thanks to JohnGalt1 pours out a cloudy amber/orange topped with a off white head. Aroma was of sweet caramel, grapefruit peel, and pine hops. Taste was more of the sweet caramel and bitter hops. A decent malt to try to pull this thing in from being a hop trip.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask at Brazen Head. Clear pale golden-amber pour with no head at all. The nose is quite fresh and bright. A lot of fruitiness and light honeyed sweetness. Some grapefruit and pine although it’s not very punchy at all. A little bit of peachy sweetness that kind of detracts from the hops. The alcohol is pretty noticable in here. Definitely needs the hop bill to be tripled at least… comes across as far too sweet.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from PUB’N via a special messenger. Pours turbid deep copper with riby edges and 2 f owh. Nose is c malt, orange marm, earthy perfumy floral hops, and the taste is rich, very resiny, complex, piney, hoppy, with a huge caramel malt bill, fruit, tangerine, and brown sugar. This is yet another great beer from Scott Smith and East End.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Had this tonight on-tap at Bocktown.
A- More of a pale amber hue that is minimally cloudy. Served with an approximately 1 finger soapy white head that quickly subsides to a thin collar. Traces of lacing are left behind in the glass.
S- The nose is subtle but is a great balance of mild pink grapefruit and cool rigid pine. Nothing else is detectable in the nose.
T- The flavor is similar to the nose but much more prominent. Upfront (after the carbonation) are sweet grapefruit juices and a hint of pine flavor. The finish is a blast of cool piny hops and in the background is a twinge of sour grapefruit. All that lingers is a piny mouthwash-like coolness.
P- Carbonation is high and body is light and slightly oily and smooth. You would never guess this is an DIPA from the mouthfeel.
O- This is an awesome, drinkable DIPA. Drinks more like a session ale than the imperial ale that it is. This ale lends no hop bitterness and is all citrus and piny hop flavor- which is what I love in an IPA...ABV is undetectable and this is a very chilling beer. Not sure what it is like bottled...but on tap it is awesome and another great brew of Scott’s.
I’m not getting the herbal or spicy hop profile others are tasting.
