Bottle from PUB’N via a special messenger. Pours turbid deep copper with riby edges and 2 f owh. Nose is c malt, orange marm, earthy perfumy floral hops, and the taste is rich, very resiny, complex, piney, hoppy, with a huge caramel malt bill, fruit, tangerine, and brown sugar. This is yet another great beer from Scott Smith and East End.

Had this tonight on-tap at Bocktown. A- More of a pale amber hue that is minimally cloudy. Served with an approximately 1 finger soapy white head that quickly subsides to a thin collar. Traces of lacing are left behind in the glass. S- The nose is subtle but is a great balance of mild pink grapefruit and cool rigid pine. Nothing else is detectable in the nose. T- The flavor is similar to the nose but much more prominent. Upfront (after the carbonation) are sweet grapefruit juices and a hint of pine flavor. The finish is a blast of cool piny hops and in the background is a twinge of sour grapefruit. All that lingers is a piny mouthwash-like coolness. P- Carbonation is high and body is light and slightly oily and smooth. You would never guess this is an DIPA from the mouthfeel. O- This is an awesome, drinkable DIPA. Drinks more like a session ale than the imperial ale that it is. This ale lends no hop bitterness and is all citrus and piny hop flavor- which is what I love in an IPA...ABV is undetectable and this is a very chilling beer. Not sure what it is like bottled...but on tap it is awesome and another great brew of Scott’s. I’m not getting the herbal or spicy hop profile others are tasting. (draught) cloudy as hell, light yellow, creamy white head. Nose of candi sugar, pineapple, agave, papaya. Taste of pineapple, mango, delicious citrus, just the lightest bit earthy, light bitter but so well balanced. Prickly carbonation, earthy. A very unique IPA.

Thanks to hopdog for sharing this one. Pours a lightly hazy lighter amber with a medium off white bubbly head. Aroma of spicy noble hops, some floral and citrus hop notes, a touch of caramel and a good bit of bready malt. Flavor was as expected very hoppy, but not overly bitter. Hop flavor bounced between citrusy and floral to spicy noble with some caramel and mostly bready malt.

This poured a nice hazy orange color with a small off white head. Aroma is bready, some sweetness, lots of bittering hops, and alcohol. Flavor was upfront very bitter hops, some notes of grapefruit, a bit grassy, mellowed out by malt sweetness but not syrupy, and finishes out with a slight alcohol burn.

Wow a very nice complex IMP IPA from my home state of Pennsylvania. Very complex, but well balanced and delicious. Bold earthy, floral and caramel aromas. Tastey hop, carmel citrus and fruit flavors. A nice warming alcohol, dry finish. All blended to perfection.
