3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 stoneageradio (254) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 19, 2012
Draft. Classic imperial stout; this is everything you’d want from an imperial stout from the first scent to the final aftertaste. Complex mix of roast malt and coffee scent over a jet black body and intricate lacing. The palate was a thick and chewy bodied stout, and the taste was kicked off by a roasted coffee note, strong, that melded into a more complex chocolate/licorice aftertaste as it warmed.
