Pours a bright, slightly hazy golden orange that clears up as it warms. There is a small creamy white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a solid ring
The aroma is very sweet with tons of light fruits, especially apples. There is a hefty Belgian yeast bubble-gum type aroma in the there as well.
The taste is almost as sweet as the nose but does have a little bit more caramel. It’s still dominated by the sugary fruits, apricots and apples in the spotlight.
The mouthfeel is medium-bodied with lower carbonation than a typical tripel. Not sure if that’s becuase of the growler or if it’s the beer.
This is a good tripel and a very sweet take on the style with a dominant light fruitiness throughout the nose and taste. taffurs888 (121), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Just happened to be there as the man himself as picking up four for himself. Hmm quite the pr guy! Pours a nice carnonate apple juice color, nice realm of soft haze at the top. Nice sugary sweet smell mixed with some fresh apples. Nice fruit taste perfect amount of caramel mixed in. CharlesDarwin (1842), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 18, 2009 On tap at Sharp Edge - Pittsburgh, PA. Soft phenolic juicy belgian nose. Apples. Pours a slightly hazed burnished gold, with a nice lacy rim in soft white. Flavor is rather coarse and biting. Some rough grain, bubblegum-like residual sugars and a flaccid raw apple finish. A fresh juicyfruit burst and a bit of tangerine brightens up the backend. Kind of flabby on the edges and not very tight. Not my favorite yeast character. Nate (2540), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA

Light pilsner malt, coriander and orange peel. Teaberry. Light yeasty notes and spot on for tripel. Hazy golden amber with thin lacing head. Medium bodied with medium carbonation and light warming. Starts sweet and mellow with honey, pilsner malt, orange peel and some chalky yeast. Stays sweet throughout and good warming. Herbal and estery sweet finish with light bittering. Really nice tripel. Every light fruit imaginable. Apple, grape, pear and melon. Pour was a cloudy murky orange with a one finger white head. Taste was all melon and fruit with some banana esters coming out in the aftertaste as it warms. Little to no carbonation which is a big thumbs down for a tripel. Overall a nice beer. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 25, 2009 This poured a golden yellow color with a white head. Aroma was loaded with spices and hints of bananas as well. Flavor was spices mainly cloves and banana mix with that slight sourness that seems to come with every east end beer. cheapdark (2016), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Feb 19, 2009 On draught. At sharp edge creek house nice place!. Dans tripeliciuos S5L3F2T4O6 Looks like a Belgie tripel, pale cloudy yellow. Has a mild sweet aroma. Very strong at first on the palate but mellows nicely during a session. Has that typical east end background hanging around with its positive influence. Barely any carbonation. Taste is somewhat like bellgie tripel status but a little less refined in a Pittsburgh kinda way, dude. Ignore my numbers, this stuff is on smooth style. Could have a few more manners, did I say that? Fruity lingering alky soaked fruit finish.
