Southern English style Nut Brown Ale with a bit of chocolate character to it. Dark in color, but light in body, and leaning toward the sweet malty side. You'll really have to look for the hops in this one.

12 oz draft at Bella Notte in Pittsburgh. Nice nutty taste with a very good sweet/bitter aftertaste. Could have been a bit heavier in gravity.

Transfer from BA review on 4-3-12 - Served in 10 oz chalice glass Appearance – Served a medium brown colored body with a light tan head. The head faded fast giving way to very little lacing. Smell - The nose is of light roasted malt mixed with a bit of caramel sweetness. Taste – The taste was of dark bread and lightly roasted malt flavor with some caramel sweetness. There were hints of nuttiness mixed in with the taste as well. Mouthfeel –A medium bodied beer with a moderate level of carbonation. While only a medium bodied brew, with it only being 3.7 % abv, it is much creamier then would be anticipated, quite nice for its lightness. Overall – This is a very drinkable beer. Lighter in abv, but with good taste and actual quite a surprising feel to it.

On tap. Pours a mahogany brown with a thin light tan head. Aroma of roasted nuts, mocha, light coffee, sweet malt. Flavor of light coffee and mocha up front with nuts, caramel malt, light sweetness, chocolate malt. Very tasty and flavorful brown ale. 7/4/8/4/14 (3.7/5)

This is the first beer with a bitter component to it's taste that i liked. I couldn't taste any hops, but the balt was medium in strength. Over, very smooth and easy to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark brown with a khaki colored lacing. Notes of chocolate and coffee. Rather toasty and on the equator of sweet and dry.

Draft at Pony Bar. Poured a murky brown with thin tan head and no lacing. No much to the aroma, some nut. Pretty full flavor for such a low abv. Nut, chocolate, mildly sweet. Good session.

On tap at my hotel, the Renaissance, in Pittsburgh. Pours a mostly translucent, deep brown with a thin, eggshell head. Malty nose, wet cardboard, nuts, oatmeal raisin cookie, yeast. Flavor was nice, simple, sweet, malty, bread, a little brown sugar. Had quite a bit of flavor for only 3.8%ABV. Medium bodied, dry finish.
