2006 750 ml bottle. Pours a deep cloudy dark caramel with a thick beige head. Aroma dominated by caramel and toffee with a slight hint of citrus. Taste is mostly syrupy caramel with hints of toffee and orange citrus. Very sweet and definitely a slow sipper.

750ml bottle (494/1300) 2006 vintage....poured a cloudy dark garnet reddish brown with a long, withstanding and immense light tan head.... sacharine aroma with dark fruits, sweet caramel, and sticky toffee....flavors started off sweet, almost cloyingly so but a little aging smoothened it out and it became quite drinkable. really sweet dark fruits and caramel malt with only a trace of hops towards the finish. creamy full mouthfeel yet didn’t bog the palate down. this one truly was a pleasant surprise.

750ml bottle. 2006 vintage. big thanks to pantanap for sharing! pours hazy auburn with creamy off white head that stayed creamy! nose is cookie, caramel, chocolate, cotton candy, and slight oxidize touch to it. flavors are caramelized malt, chocolate, toasted malt, doughy cotton candy, some grapefruit hops notes in the finish, and a slight oxidation that dries this thing just enough to make it extremely tasty and drinkable. very smooth. no alcohol is noticed. awesome aged barleywine.

2006 bottle. Obtained in trade and shared at Noog4. Looks hazy amber with a light white head. Sweet-creamy sherry like aroma. Boozy with fruit. A bit harsh at first sip. Some strong hops and booze. But it mellows to light sweetness, chocolate/toffee, burnt caramel and a touch of vinous like character. The mouth feel is creamy though it is sharp at first, and it finishes dry. Not a bad drink.

Noogfest ’08. The body is hazy dark amber with a khaki head. The aroma had some caramel with pancakes and peaches. The taste has some bitter bread crust. There was also some grapefruit.
