Pours hazy and golden with a proportionate head size. Very nice mouth feel and a crisp finish. One of Pittsburgh’s best offerings.

Pours a cloudy straw yellow with a medium white head. Very sweet aroma of honey and banana. Nice body not too heavy nor too thin. Smooth with a hint of cloves but not overpowering. A little sweeter than some others I’ve tried, probably due to the honey which you don’t usually find in a German Hefeweizen. Much better than I expected. Some of the other American made beers of this style just don’t have the flavor or the right amount of spice to balance with the sweetness but this was very good. One of my favorite styles done well.

Tap Sat 08.08.2015 @ Jerome Bettis Grill in Pitt. Hazy sandy limestone gold pour, nose is banana not strong, palate is banana and funky barnyard yeast. Mellow though, medium carb and not in your face.

Sample at East End on 8/1/15. Hazy gold pour with a thin white head. Aroma of banana, clove, black pepper and malt. Sweet wheat and honey flavor with banana and clove accents before a sweet finish.

A pretty bland Hefe. Thick and bannany with some bread slugginess. No aroma or lacing or head.

This has a very banana taste and still has a clove taste. I like hefeweizens and this is one of the best I've tried. It really has a unique yeast taste. I will be buying this if I can find it around. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft @ Beernutz. Poured a cloudy light tannish yellow. Aroma is banana. Taste is banana. Slight sour notes. Wheat. Pretty good. I would probably drink it again. Creamy texture. Little fizzy finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sample at Brewery. Pours yellow with a thick white head that leaves a lot of lacing. Nose leans more towards banana than clove. Has a bit of the estery thing on the nose. Fairly dry on the tongue. Finishes clean. Solid but not mandatory.

Growler from artmcd8. Thanks, Art! The pour is a golden color with a thin, mostly short-lived, fizzy white head. The aroma is nice; pretty much like any typical good Hefeweizen: wheat, clove, banana, and some spice. The flavors follow; a soft wheat and herbal character kicks things off, lavender comes to mind, with banana, a little orange spice, light cinnamon, sweet vanilla, and a stale grain finish. Zippy carbonation that tingles the palate. Refreshing, easy going, and pretty tasty stuff. Definitely a winner in the middle of a Florida summer.
