Bottle sample @ RBBWG 2016, thanks Jeff.

Bottle at RBBWG 2016 in Antwerpen, bottled in December 2014. Sweetish-malty aroma of caramel, honey and vanilla. Sweetish-malty taste of caramel, honey and vanilla, followed by a short, slightly bitter, spicy and slightly alcoholic finish. Medium body, slightly creamy to oily mouthfeel. Nice!

Thank you for sharing jefverstraete! 750 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBWG V. Bottled 12.2014. Hazy light brown, little off-white head. Nose is oxidized nuts, honey, touch cardboard, caramelized apple, messy sweet & sugary raw dough taste. Taste is slab of messy sugary raw dough, cardboard, honey, sugar, candy, oxidized nuts,… Honey, oxidation & big sugar body. This one is a big slab of slightly oxidized sugar, messy raw dough. Meh, lacks coherence, finesse, character etc. It packs some unfavorable oxidation on top.

Light copper body, very nice creamy head. Herbal, creamy head, some toast, touch farmhouse like funk, bready. Some wood. Very nice mouth feel, excellent round and full flavoured malt malts. Great unique taste. Both historical and very modernistic feel. A characterful and daringly brewed ale with loads of flavour. Love it, big surprise. (Sampled during RBBWG 2016)

JaBier (6979) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - AUG 5, 2015
Sample at East End on 8/1/15. Dark amber to copper color with a medium beige head. Aroma of malt, honey, caramel and dark fruit. Sweet malt and honey flavor with some bourbon (yes, I’m aware this isn’t the barrel-aged version) before a warm finish. A bit too much on the sweet side to be extraordinary, but I bought a bottle of Old Knobby to see if the barrel dries it out a bit.

750 mL bottle from the brewery, bottled 02-13. Pours a hazy red-brown color with a medium sized frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toffee, caramelized sugar, raisin, dark fruit. The taste is toffee, raisin, citrus, bitter hops, maple syrup. Thin-medium bodied, slight lingering bitterness.
