3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at Capones. Poured an orange body of medium density and a foamy white head. Aroma is horrible, all I was getting was vomit for some reason, yes vomit. Medium/full bodied with stronger carbonation, and a quick fading aftertaste. Flavor of loads of hops, grass, wheat, honey and citrus. Not bad but what the hell is up with the odd aroma.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A- Body is a quite foggy, tawny golden yellow hue. Pours with a massive 3 finger+ white, foamy head that eventually settles to a big thick collar. Lacing sticks all the way down the glass.
S-This smells good and as one should expect for a hoppy wheat beer. The main character is a big bready, grainy wheat scent but there is a good bit of citrus and earthy hops there as well.
T-Flavor is actually pretty complex. Mild strength earthy and citrus hop flavors upfront with a moderate bready backbone. Most of the flavor comes through for the finish where there is a big dose of bread dough a hint of pine and the slightest hint of grapefruit as well as more intense earthy flavors. The hop bitterness is pretty high, somewhat crass and long lasting but is accompanied by remnants of smooth, bready yeast.
P-Moderate carbonation, lightweight body that is full and pretty smooth and yeasty.
O- Overall-I like this brew and think that it is good. If the hop profile in this brew was brighter and the mouthfeel more oily this would probably be one of my favorite brews. The bitterness is ok-but I don’t think the initial flavors were bright enough to earn it. Its pretty complex for a small brew and very drinkable and enjoyable. Its not quite hop sun, uber sun, or gumballhead.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled at brewery. Poured hazy gold in color with a mountainous white frothy head. Aroma of wheat and hops. surprise surprise. Taste was a bit earthy and dusty. Flavors of wheat, with an overpowering hop presence. Hops are maybe a little too bittering for my liking. I enjoyed this because it’s not the average IPA or APA. It’s different and very drinkable.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Firkin version at Barley’s 6th Annual Mini RAF (04/26/08): This brew is a hazy orange-yellow color with a medium thin light beige head that diminishes steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Grapefruit and hops in the nose. Medium-bodied with a strong astringent hops flavor that overpowers any trace of malt. Some wheat and yeast is present as well. The finish retains the harsh bitterness and leaves a metallic hops aftertaste. Not sure what was going on with this beer but something was definitely not right.

This beer is awesome. Wheat character with a great amount of hops at the end, just like ugly american, a very nice "mixed’ beer.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Probably my favorite beer from this brewer so far. Sampled on draft at the Map Room at Regent Square this beer poured a murky golden-tan color with a medium sized tan head. The aroma was spicy, bready and had a moderate floral hop presence. The flavor was yeasty, wheaty, bready and very robust in body with a strong malt background to go with the light fruity and floral hops. There was a nice banana undertone. Wonderfully well balanced!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught: Aroma of floral, grapefruity hops. As Nate said, "wheaty presence and a dusty bitterness" to the scent. Poured golden with a hint of amber in color. Big, foamy, rocky, off-white head lasted throughout. Great lacing. Medium to heavy bitter flavor. Tastes of hops and wheat. A hint of grapefruit as well. Light body. Watery, but slightly sticky, texture. Average carbonation. Short, hoppy/wheat finish. Overall, a bit thin and light, but plenty of hops.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Capone’s. Pours a lightly hazy golden yellow with a medium foamyh white head that left nice lacing. Aroma of fresh hops, citrus, some pine and sweet orange. Flavor of hops also with the pine/citrus things going on. Picked up some wheat tartness in the flavor, not so much in the aroma. This one is very hoppy, which I like but since it is a wheat beer is on the thin side. A bunch of hop bitterness as well.
