EE#18 S7L5F2T6O15 Cherry Stout Dispensed from the top of a keg freshly tapped at the brewery. Has a slight cherry perfume olfactory about it, yummy. Big thick commanding creamy head with dark speckles in it, deliciously appetizing. On the palate I sense barely any carbonation in it. Cherry hides some of the fabulous stout flavors but they do peek thru here and there. Cherry flavor also makes it seem like a higher alky content than stated. Another refreshing beer from Scott’s East End.

On tap at Capone’s. Poured a dark, dark brown color with an average to smaller sized off white head. Aromas of chocoalte, and some cherry. Tastes of chocolate, lighter cherries, and roasty. The cherries where on the subtle side. This one was fine, but there was nothing (either stout or cherry) that really stood out.

Darker brown with a mild cherry-grain aroma. Flavor seemed like a pile of raw grain with a hint of cherries - kind of a second run style porter. I love East End, but this is a mess.

Draught at Capone’s: Very faint aroma of roasted malts. Poured black in color with a medium to large-sized, dense, creamy, brown head that lasted throughout. Opaque. Excellent lacing. Tastes of roasted malts, horse shit, barnyard, and NO cherry. Medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Roasted, barnyard finish.

Tap at Capones. Pours a deep brown with amber notes and mostly no head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, light cherry notes, nuts and tobacco. Flavor of lightly tart cherry, chocolate, lightly roasted malt, nuts, tobacco and caramel.

Poured a nice black color with a large tan head. Aroma was of sweet and sour cherries and nice dry rasoted malts. Flavor was lots of real cherry flavor, just enoguh to compliment the dry stout but not to overwhelm. Really good fruit beer.
