Tmoney99 (3414), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA May 14, 2008 Draft at BMRAF 08. Poured hazy amber color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with fair lacing. Moderate wheat citrus aroma. Light to medium body. Medium bitter flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration.
Miver (292), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 30, 2008 Sampled at brewery. Poured hazy gold in color with a mountainous white frothy head. Aroma of wheat and hops. surprise surprise. Taste was a bit earthy and dusty. Flavors of wheat, with an overpowering hop presence. Hops are maybe a little too bittering for my liking. I enjoyed this because it’s not the average IPA or APA. It’s different and very drinkable. edden (882), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA May 3, 2008 4/26/08: Firkin version at Barley’s 6th Annual Mini RAF Bitter wheat aroma. Body is a burnt yellow color. Flavor of stale wheat. Dogbrick (2165), Columbus, Ohio, USA May 2, 2008 Firkin version at Barley’s 6th Annual Mini RAF (04/26/08): This brew is a hazy orange-yellow color with a medium thin light beige head that diminishes steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Grapefruit and hops in the nose. Medium-bodied with a strong astringent hops flavor that overpowers any trace of malt. Some wheat and yeast is present as well. The finish retains the harsh bitterness and leaves a metallic hops aftertaste. Not sure what was going on with this beer but something was definitely not right. Beerman6686 (536), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 4, 2007 This beer is awesome. Wheat character with a great amount of hops at the end, just like ugly american, a very nice "mixed’ beer.
